AI in wedding photography — the quiet assistant
Artificial intelligence has arrived in wedding photography. Used well, it gives the photographer more time to be present. Used badly, it replaces real moments with invented ones. Here is how we use it.
Planning a pre-wedding
A couple tells us how they met, what they love and where they dream of being photographed. AI turns that into a first draft: locations, the hour of best light, outfit palettes and a short shot list. We refine it with experience — which fort gate is empty at sunrise, which dune holds its shape in the wind.
Sorting thousands of frames
A wedding can produce six to ten thousand photographs. AI helps find the sharp, open-eyed frames and group near-duplicates, so the editor spends hours on emotion and sequence instead of rejection.
Telling the story
Our editorial assistant suggests an order and short captions for a wedding set. It is a starting point; the final story is always arranged by the photographer.
